Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers Ltd., which runs the Curragh operation in Queensland state, said contract prices of hard metallurgical coal from Curragh mine for second quarter by 27 dollars to 111 dollars per tonne, down 16 percent on the first quarter.
The company produced 2.37 million tonnes of metallurgical coal in the first quarter, although international coking coal price continued to fall off, and contract prices were reduced.
