Feng Hsin Iron & Steel, one of the major steel long product manufacturers in Taiwan, has announced to hike its rebar and scrap purchasing price by NT$200/ton, but the company will keep its price for steel sections flat for this week.
The company's rebar base price will be NT$17,400/ton, its scrap purchasing price will be NT$10,300~11,200/ton and its steel section price will stay at NT$19,400~19,600/ton.
Currently, the price of US 80:20 container scrap has steadied at US$343~345/ton, which is the main reason for price rise despite the weak end-user demand.
