Ore sales by the Philippines’ largest nickel miner, Nickel Asia, were up by 38% year-on-year in the nine months to September 30 on higher deliveries to its processing plants and exports.

The company sold 14.26 million wet metric tonnes (wmt) of ore in the period. Of this volume, 5.38 million wmt was sold to the miner's high-pressure acid leach plants in the Philippines, compared with 2.81 million tonnes in the corresponding period a year earlier.
