It was reported that the Mexico's Ministry of Economy announced on April 5th that it will initiate an anti-dumping investigation over cold-rolled stainless steel flat products from China and Taiwan.
The petition was requested by Outokumpu Mexinox on January 31st of this year, arguing that imports of cold-rolled stainless steel flat products from the two countries led to a containment of prices in domestic market, which caused a drop in sales and job losses as a consequence.
The Mexican company proposed as a research period from October 1st, 2017 to September 30th, 2018, and as an injury analysis period from October 1st, 2015 to September 30th, 2018.
