Word came that Tangshan set a new round of production limit and stoppage schedule in order to further lower emission of industrial pollutant and improve air condition.
According to Production Limit and Stoppage Requirement issued by Tangshan City Government, before 1st August 2019, sintering machines, blast furnaces, converters and lime kilns of steelmakers which are in A class shall be met 20% production limit. Steelmakers include Shougang Qian’an Steel, Shougang Jingtang Steel along the coastal area, Wenfeng Steel, Tangsteel Heavy Plate, Delong Steel and Zongheng Steel. More than 50% Sintering machines, blast furnaces, converters and lime kilns of the whole steelmakers in Hebei Province shall be shut down. Among them, blast furnaces shall be shut down by raking out.
After 1st August 2019, depending on the air and meteorological condition, it is decided whether above-mentioned production stoppage and limit measures will continue to be executed.
Replacement capacity shall be shut down on time. Equipments for capacity replacement projects of Shougang Jingtang Steel and Zongheng Steel in Fengnan District shall be shut down on time. Partial equipments of four coking enterprises (Tongbao, Hailan, Rongfeng and Dongfang) shall be shut down before 10 July 2019.
