According to the statistics from Ukrainian steelmakers' association Ukrmetallurgprom, Ukraine produced a total of around 20.5 million tons in 2018, rising by 4% compared to the previous year.
As for the exports, Ukraine exported around 2.5 million tons of pig iron in the first 10 months last year, a year-on-year hike of 7.1%. Among them, Turkish pig iron was mainly exported to the US and Turkey, which accounted for 14.7% roughly of the total.
