Several
departments in China, such as Ministry of Ecology and Environment of
China, Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission
and General Administration of Customs, jointly on December 29, 2018
announced to ban the import of eight wastes into China commencing from
July 1, 2019.
The
solid wastes banned include: cast iron waste, other alloy steel scrap
waste, tinplate steel waste, steel scrap generated from the machinery
processing, unspecified steel scrap, copper scrap and other aluminum
scrap.
