As steel giant province in China, Hebei guides steelmakers to transform and upgrading recent years. Hebei accelerates backward capacity exit and meanwhile Hebei improves steelmakers’ technology and proportion of products with high added value to strength enterprises competition.
Take HBIS Group for example. From 2014 to 2017, HBIS Group’s steel products increased to 65%, among which steel for automobile increased by 265% to 16 million tons compared with 4.38 million ton at the beginning. In 2018, proportion of steel products with high technology and high added value broke 70%.
Data shows that in the first three quarters, steel industry in Hebei Province reached 865.172 billion yuan business incomes, up 12.87%, accounting for 28.73% in the whole industry business incomes and enjoyed 71.351 billion yuan profit, up 54.95%, accounting for 37.73% in the whole industry profit of Hebei Province.
