Korea's one of the largest steel tublar product makers, Husteel, moves forward to acquire the domestic demand for stainless steel pipe products through modernization of its Daegu-based piping mill, which increased the capacity utilization rate up to 95 percent on average last year. The improved rate was due to not only the modernization of facilities but also consistent upgraded product qualities, the company official close to the matter said.
Husteel has continued to increase its domestic shipment tonnage of stainless steel pipe and tubes since 2016, extending 10,000 tons more or less a year while improving the market share as well through expansion of the existing marketing network across the sales agents and exclusive distributors alike under the strong win-win relationship.
Husteel completed its added capacity of about 5,000 tons per year enabling to produce the ERW of 5 inches in diameter, with which its Daegu-based piping mill is equipped with a total of 40,000 tons production per annum.
