Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China held its first press conference on January 22. According to the press conference, in 2018, China conducted specific actions to crack down on illegal deeds in coal mines. A total of 832 backward mines were phased out, reducing 0.15 billion tons of capacity.
In 2019, China will forcefully enforce inspections of safety hazards and focus on industrial fields which are vulnerable to accidents. In order to facilitate secure production, there is still a long way to go.
