On February 18, China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. issued a report of its January performance. According to the report, Shenhua Group produced 21.10 million tons of commercial coal in January, decreasing 14.2% year on year and down 16.6% month on month. In January, the company sold 26 million tons of coal, decreasing 25.9% year on year and down 40.64% month on month.
In January, coal transport by water at ports owned by Shenhua Group was 15.40 million tons, decreasing 25.2% from the previous year and down 38.4% month on month. Of this, coal transport by water at Huanghua port was 11.10 million tons, decreasing 24.5% year on year and down 36.93% month on month. Meanwhile, coal transport by water at Shenhua Tianjin coal terminal was 2.40 million tons, dropping 35.1% year on year and down 42.86% on month. In addition, Shenhua's electric energy generation in January was 26.62 billion kWh, rising 1% year on year.
