As per statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China
exported 4.512 million tons of steel products in February 2019, down
335,000 tons or 6.9% year on year; imports in February were 819,000
tons, down 208,000 tons or 20.3% year on year. The
cumulative steel exports for January and February 2019 were 10.70
million tons, increasing 1.219 million tons or 12.9% year on year. The
cumulative steel imports for January and February 2019 were 1.998
million tons, decreasing 220,000 tons or 9.9% year on year.
