As of March 8, SteelHome’s estimates of hot metal cost at Chinese large
and medium-sized steel mills, averaged 2185.11 yuan/t (US$ 325) before
16% VAT, up 4.79 yuan/t (US$ 0.7).
The cost to produce 20mmHRB400 rebar was 3536.56 yuan/t (US$ 526), down
10.11 yuan/t (US$ 1.5), and the cost to produce 5.75mmQ235 HRC was
3391.56 yuan/t (US$ 504.4), up 4.89 yuan/t (US$ 0.7).
