CISA Members
During February 21-28, 2019, CISA member steel manufacturers produced
15.6883 million tons of crude steel, 14.1573 million tons of pig iron,
15.6122 million tons of steel products and 2.8181 million tons of coke.
Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers was 1.961
million tons, up 13,700 tons or 0.7% from the daily output during
February 11-20, 2019; daily output of pig iron was 1.7697 million tons,
down 5,800 tons or 0.33% from the daily output during February 11-20,
2019; daily output of steel products was 1.9515 million tons, up 130,000
tons or 7.13% from the daily output during February 11-20, 2019; daily
output of coke was 352,300 tons, down 400 tons or 0.11% from the daily
output during February 11-20, 2019.
National Output
It’s estimated that during February 21-28, 2019, China produced 20.0425
million tons of crude steel, 16.4615 million tons of pig iron, 24.6869
million tons of steel products and 9.9451 million tons of coke.
On daily basis, China produced 2.5053 million tons of crude steel,
2.0577 million tons of pig iron, 3.0859 million tons of steel and 1.2431
million tons of coke.
Inventory
The inventory of CISA members during February 21-28, 2019 was 14.2758
million tons, down 426,100 tons or 2.9% from February 11-20, 2019.
