Ex-works
price of common carbon billet in Tangshan city rose by 30 yuan to 3470
yuan per ton on Wednesday.
The
strip price in the city moved up by 30-50 yuan per ton, with weak
transactions. Section products mainly kept stable, with a few quotation
rising by 10 yuan per ton.
In
billet market, suppliers quoted 3550-3560 yuan per ton. The transactions
only increased at lower quotation offered by suppliers.
Most
of rolling plants are stopping operation. A few of them purchased billet
for restocking, in spite of unsettled ramp-up schedule.
Billet
producers were quite bullish on the market as the market was covered by
more stringent environmental protection move conducted by government.
Billet
suppliers to the market decrease as increasing producers are arranging the
maintenance.
