Findings:
1. The medium plate capacity utilization at 38 Chinese steel mills that
represents 60 production lines was 93.33% in week ending March 14, 2019,
down 1.67% from last survey.
2. In terms of production lines, running production lines was 56 out of
total 60, meaning operating rate was 93.33%, down 1.67% from last
survey.
3. In terms of medium plate capacity, running capacity was 81.76 million
tons out of 86.36 million tons, making capacity utilization of 94.67%,
down 0.7% from last period.
4. Medium plate daily production for this week was 199,500 tons, down
13,700 tons from last survey.
