Findings:
1. The silicon steel capacity utilization at 8 Chinese steel mills that
represents 24 production lines was 95.83% in week ending March 14, 2019,
down 4.17% from last survey.
2. In terms of production lines, running production lines was 23 out of
total 24, meaning operating rate was 95.83%, down 4.17% from last
survey.
3. In terms of silicon steel capacity, running capacity was 7.13 million
tons out of 7.33 million tons, making capacity utilization of 97.27%,
down 2.73% from last period.
4. Silicon steel daily production for this week was 20,900 tons, flat
from last survey.
