POSCO set up the 2019 non-consolidated revenue on sale increasing to 30.1 trillion won at the general meeting of shareholders held on March 15, while planning to make a 5.4 trillion won investment. The consolidated revenue will be 66.3 trillion won and investment of 6.1 trillion won respectively. Meanwhile, POSCO wrapped up a total of 30,659.4 billion won revenue on sale with a 7.4 percent year on year growth last year. Its operating income amounted to 3,809.4 billion won, which improved 31.2 percent from 2017 of 2,902.5 billion won. However, the net earnings decreased by 57.9 percent due to increased one-time expenses, and corporate taxes.
On the consolidated basis, POSCO’s total revenue picked up 7.1 percent leading to 64,977.8 billion won, and so the operating profit gained 19.9 percent amounting to 5,542.6 won respectively. Consolidated net profit resulted in a 36.4 percent fall to 1,892.1 won as a result of one-time loss on valuation, lessened gain on disposition of negotiable securities, and heavier corporate taxes.
