Korea's import price of iron ore continues upside movements, keeping as much as middle of $80 per ton and forcing Korean importers to run for bullish buying. In February, the Korean iron ore import prices averaged $78 per ton, maintaining a high since June 2017 of $82 per ton.
Korean iron ore import price turned strong since 2018:Q4, and posted $78 per ton during January this year on the spot bullish. The upward trends continued during February. At present, the spot price faces tight supply unavoidably, being projected to affect directly beginning the second quarter. Under the present trends going on, the iron ore importing prices will keep bullish for a while ahead, the market participants told S&M Media.
