CISA Members
During March 1-10, 2019, CISA member steel manufacturers produced
18.8432 million tons of crude steel, 17.0347 million tons of pig iron,
16.5824 million tons of steel products and 3.3744 million tons of coke.
Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers was
1.8843 million tons, down 76,700 tons or 3.91% from the daily output
during February 21-28, 2019; daily output of pig iron was 1.7035 million
tons, down 66,200 tons or 3.74% from the daily output during February
21-28, 2019; daily output of steel products was 1.6582 million tons,
down 293,300 tons or 15.03% from the daily output during February 21-28,
2019; daily output of coke was 337,400 tons, down 14,800 tons or 4.21%
from the daily output during February 21-28, 2019.
National Output
It’s estimated that during March 1-10, 2019, China produced 24.1925
million tons of crude steel, 19.8915 million tons of pig iron, 29.0869
million tons of steel products and 12.0451 million tons of coke.
On daily basis, China produced 2.4192 million tons of crude steel,
1.9892 million tons of pig iron, 2.9087 million tons of steel and 1.2045
million tons of coke.
Inventory
The inventory of CISA members during March 1-10, 2019 was 14.5387
million tons, up 263,000 tons or 1.84% from February 21-28, 2019.
