Korea's rebar makers will very probably lift offering prices next month according to the industry source. The present supply condition is going well, and the scrap market runs bullish, and therefore they will be in no problem in raising prices, market dealers anticipated.
Current Korean scrap prices of late keep strength, pushing the cost of many finished steel products that use the scrap as raw materials. If raised the rebar prices, the lift will be apparently around between 14,000 and 20,000 won per ton from the current price over the April shipment.
Korean distributors have the same outlook as the market will be responsive without any difficulties. Based on the seasonal factor, there will be no problem to increase offering prices, they said. Meanwhile, the warm weather condition currently has been supportive to the rebar sales, they added.
