According to the data from Italian steelmakers' association Federacciai, the production of crude steel in Italy totaled around 2.05 million tons in February this year, down by 2.8% compared to the same month a year ago, but rising from those in February of 2017, 2016 and 2015.
Besides, Italian production of long products in January was approximately 895,000 tons, reducing by 5.1% year on year; that of steel plate was around 850,000 tons, 9.3% lower compared to the same month a year earlier.
