Wu
Wenzhang,
Chairman & President, Shanghai SteelHome E-commerce Co., Ltd
Wu Wenzhang started
working in Maanshan Steel after graduation from Anhui University of
Technology in July 1984. During his 18 years' work in Magang, Mr. Wu was
nominated as the Director of Metallurgical Researching Department and
awarded several times for his outstanding performances in both teaching
and researching fields.
In September 2001, Mr. Wu started his career in Shanghai and invented
steel internet operation system. Mr. Wu has published many professional
technology essays and reports about steel industry in newspaper and he has
his own column in China Metallurgical News and World Metal Bulletin.
In August 2004, Mr.
Wu and his partners established Shanghai SteelHome Information Technology
Co. Ltd. Mr Wu has been invited to speak at international steel
conferences in Europe and America since 2006.
Mr. Wu offered
marketing training courses to large Chinese steel mills, such as Ansteel,
Baosteel, Jinan Steel, Chuanwei Steel, Qingdao Steel, Shaanxi Hanzhong
Steel, and some large distributors, such as China Railway Materials
Commercial, Shanghai Baosteel Trading. He has been invited to teach on
steel, financial derivatives and logistics by Tsinghua University,
Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang University and
Shanghai University for their EMBA courses.
Peter F. Marcus, Managing Director, World
Steel Dynamics
Peter
F. Marcus is the founder of World Steel Dynamics and a consultant to the
steel industry. He began his career on Wall Street in 1961 with L.F.
Rothschild & Co. In early 1999, after 28 years at PaineWebber, Peter
with his World Steel Dynamics staff formed their own separate and
independent company.
Peter graduated from Cornell University in 1960 and received a MBA from
New York University in 1965.
Kenneth Hoffman, Senior Expert, McKinsey Basic Materials Institute
Kenneth Hoffman is an Expert for
McKinsey’s Basic Materials Practice and a Client Development Executive
for MineLens and MineSpans by McKinsey. Prior to McKinsey, Kenneth was the global head of metals and mining
research for Bloomberg Intelligence. Mr. Hoffman began his career at
Prudential Securities, covering base and precious metals as well as the
global steel industry, and headed Prudential's global steel research team
for five years. Mr. Hoffman ran the top quartile Orbitex Energy &
Basic Materials fund for three years and for four years was a partner and
head of research at MarCap European Investors fund, which focused on
Northern European industrial and commodity shares. Mr. Hoffman has
been widely sought after for his engaging talks about industry trends,
speaking at Mines & Money Hong Kong for the past 3 years, The China
Mining 2015 Convention, PDAC Conference, as well as hosting major precious
metals and base metal conferences in London for the past 5 years,
attracting more than 3,000 investors. He is a regular speaker on Bloomberg
TV and BNN Canada.
A CFA charter holder, Mr. Hoffman holds a BS in finance from Syracuse
University and an MBA from Duke University.
Siddarth Aggarwal,
Manager – Market Analysis, Anglo American Marketing Limited
Siddarth has nearly 10 years of work
experience in market analysis and management consulting within the global
metals and mining industry. Siddarth started his career in 2009 with the
UK based CRU International as a management consultant. He was the
co-founder of the CRU’s office in Mumbai and worked on a number of
feasibility, mergers & acquisitions and market forecast studies in
iron ore, steel, copper & fertiliser markets. Siddarth moved to
Singapore to join Anglo American in 2013 as an analyst on the
metallurgical coal desk. Subsequently, Siddarth has moved within different
Business units and currently head the iron ore & steel market analysis
for the Anglo American marketing group based in Singapore.
