Data released by Hebei Metallurgical Industry Association on 1 April showed that in March, Hebei steel industry’s purchasing managers’ index (PMI) was 50.5%, up 1.4 percent month on month.
According to market sources, Hebei steel industry receives its orders at normal pace with lower cost, but production is reduced and inventory is decreased. But generally speaking, the overall industry economy is stable with good beginning in the first quarter.
