Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission published the operating performance of iron and steel industry in January-February 2019. According to the statistics, China produced 126.59 million tons of pig iron, 149.58 million tons of crude steel and 171.46 million tons of steel products in January-February 2019.
From January to February 2019, the total industrial output value of steelworks members of China Iron and Steel Industry reached 518.623 billion yuan, up 2.71% on a yearly basis; sales revenue totaled 615.493 billion yuan, an increase of 6.93% over the same period of last year; cumulative profits amounted 21.69 billion yuan, a decrease of 38.99% year on year.
