Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) is taking part in the international industrial exhibition Vietnam Expo 2019 in Hanoi. As one of the fastest growing economies in South-East Asia, Vietnam is one of MMK's key markets. In 2018, MMK's metal product shipments to Vietnam doubled compared to 2017, amounting to 540,000 tonnes and making MMK the second biggest exporter to Vietnam after Turkey.
MMK's stand showcases the technological capabilities and characteristics of the products of one of the largest metallurgical companies in Russia. MMK's exposition places particular emphasis on products for the construction industry, on hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel, long products, and on coated steel products. MMK will also preview its metal products for the engineering sector and particularly a wide range of high-strength steels.
The 29th Vietnam International Trade Fair, Vietnam Expo 2019, is being held in Hanoi from 10th to 13th April and enjoys official support from the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade. The exhibition covers a wide range of advanced technologies, products and services in the field of industrial equipment and electronics, drinks and packaging, textiles and consumer goods. Last year, over 450 companies from 16 Vietnamese provinces and cities, as well as from 23 other countries, including Russia, Korea, China, Japan and Singapore took part in the exhibition.
