Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation (FHS), Taiwan-funded steel producers in Vietnam, announced its domestic hot-rolled coils price for June. Before the price announced, it was expected that FHS might increase price by US$10/ton for June.
Due to cheap import offers, FHS was conservative to adjust price this time. And the company decided to rise only US$5/ton for its hot-rolled coils. The company already increased US$65/ton since early 2019.
After the adjustment, the new price was in the range of US$556/ton. FHS also increased its all wire rod prices by US$11/ton for June, and the low carbon wire rod list price was about US$557/ton.
