According to Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), although the production of Vietnamese steel was good in 2018, it was expected that the apparent demand for crude steel in the country will continue to grow.
According to the data from the World Steel Association, Vietnamese crude steel output reached a record at 14.1 million tons in 2018, an increase of 23% over the previous year.
The latest information from Vietnam in 2019 showed that this growth is still continuing. The country's crude steel production in January and February this year totaled approximately 2.7 million tons, an increase of 43% year-on-year.
