Summary of speech

Ferrosilicon was produced around 4.34 million tons and exported 620,000 tons in 2018, with almost no imports. The output of silicon manganese in 2018 was about 8.73 million tons, with almost no import and export. The total output of silicon manganese and ferrosilicon accounts for about half of the total output of ferroalloys.

Yuan introduced the rules and systems of ferroalloy futures contract. In order to give full play to the role of the futures market in serving the real economy, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange is planning or has implemented adjustments to the regional premiums for ferrosilicon and manganese silicon futures, and revised the delivery unit to 5 tons. The warehousing requirements are modified to be within 90 days.
