Summary

China's color coating and plating steel price went down and then headed up in the first three quarters of 2018, and then fell vibrantly in the fourth quarter. Non-oriented silicon steel market price vibrated in the first three quarters of 2018, and then slumped in the fourth quarter.

From the perspective of the late market, automobile output will continue to fall slightly due to the current stagnation, and the output of new energy vehicles will grow rapidly. Household appliance output growth will slow down, generator sets will continue to decline, and investment in railway and airport construction will remain relatively large.

It is expected that China’s color coating/plating steel and silicon steel will rise amid vibration in the second and third quarters of 2019. In the fourth quarter, market prices will face downward pressure as downstream industry came into slack season.
