Korea’s steel tire cord turned downward in export and import both over February, while production fell 28.6 percent a year ago to 7,625 tons, or down 35.9 percent from the prior month of 11,900 tons.
The entire shipment weakened by 3,500 tons around totaling 7,863 tons, down 28.3 percent from a year ago 10,967 metric tons. Of which Korean shipment plunged 45/2 percent to 3,557 tons, and exports downed 20.2 percent from 9,657 tons to 5,912 tons respectively.
The collective production by February was 19,525 tons, down 15.4 percent from a year ago 23,071 tons. Total shipment through February was down 13.3 percent from 22,260 tons to 19,299 tons.
Korean shipment by February plummeted 54.5 percent from 8,240 tons a year ago to 3,730 tons, while exports gained 10.8 percent to 15,569 tons. The inventory depleted 2.9 percent to 33,948 tons, sustaining similar trends over a year earlier.
