Korea's steel wire rope amplified export toward the United States, leading to 2,948 metric tons in March, while totaling 11,266 metric tons with a 11.8 percent year on year from 10,081 tons a year ago. Korea’s steel wire rope soared too to the EU shipping 2,988 metric tons, 21.8 percent higher from a year ago.
Especially, outbound to the Netherlands soared as much as 131.4 percent in March, but export headed China(1,377 tons, down 13.5%), Singapore(890 tons, down 23.9%) and Japan(687 tons, down 7.9%) decreased.
Total import in March was 3,466 tons, up 4.3 percent from 3,324 tons the year before. Of which import from China was 2,740 tons, up 26.1 percent from 2,173 tons. Total export by March led to a 1.2 percent year on year decrease while the collective imports increased 2.9 percent.
