On 22 July, MOFCOM released announcement on imposing anti-dumping duty on stainless steel and hot-rolled stainless steel plate/coil originating in European Union, Japan, Korea and Indonesia. Anti-dumping duties on stainless steel and hot-rolled stainless steel plate/coil originating in European Union, Japan, Korea and Indonesia are levied for 5 years starting from 23 July, 2019.
According to TISCO, anti-dumping duty is beneficial for domestic stainless steel enterprises. In recent years, some stainless steel enterprises from other countries and regions have dumped their products to China - the largest market in the market to avoid trade barriers. The sharply increasing import disturbed market order and substantially damaged domestic stainless steel industries. The final ruling that MOFCOM announced promotes healthy developments of domestic enterprises in a fair environment.
