SteelHome (China) Steel Price Index
(SHCNSI)
was 97.83 points (4,232 yuan) on 3 June 2019, down 0.47 point (20 yuan)
from the previous trading day. Steel price in key markets declined.
Details are as below:
Construction steel:
20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 4063 yuan per ton, down 27 yuan/t from
previous trading day. Among them, price declined by 10-50 yuan/t in East
China, Central South China, North China, Northeast China and West China
markets.
Medium plate:
20mm Q235B medium plat price averaged at 4056 yuan per ton in 28
domestic markets, down 18 yuan/t from previous trading day. Price
decreased by 10-50 yuan/t except stability in Changsha, Taiyuan, Kunming,
Guiyang, Lanzhou and Northeast China markets.
HRC:
Price fell. 5.75mm Q235B HRC average price was decreased by 19 yuan to
3957 yuan per ton in 28 domestic markets. Among the whole markets, price
was down by 10-60 yuan/t except stability in Nanchang, Chongqing and
Urumqi markets.
CRC:
average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 4304 yuan per ton in 28 domestic
markets, down 12 yuan/t from previous trading day. Price was down by
10-50 yuan/t in East China, Central South China, North China, Northeast
China and Southwest China markets against stability in the Northwest
China markets.

II Raw Materials
On 3 June, Tangshan common billet price was decreased by 20 yuan to 3530
yuan per ton, (cash, tax included, ex-works). Spot products in Tangshan
billet market were priced at 3610 yuan per with flat transaction.
On 3 June, iron ore market ran weak. SteelHome data showed that
China Domestic Iron Ore Price Index (SHCNDOI)
65%
was 849 yuan per ton, up 4 yuan/t and SteelHome Imported Iron Ore
Price Index (SHCNIOI) 62% was 98.06
dollars per ton, down 4.62 dollars/t from previous day.
Spot ore transacting price fell by 5-15 yuan/t at China ports, For
instance, super special fines trading price was 640 yuan per ton at
Qingdao port and PB fines at Tangshan port were traded at 748 yuan per
ton with flat transactions.
Seaborne market continued to fall. COREX platform trading price was 2.05
dollars lower than 62%PM index of June for 0.09 million tons Jimblebar
Fines with laycan during 11-20 June 2019.
