Hyundai Steel moved ahead to raise its offering prices on the cold rolled flat products by 20,000 won per ton which are same as the degree as POSCO implemented earlier. Hyundai Steel spelled out that the increase was unavoidable because of the highly rising coking coal prices as well as the iron ore prices picked up over $100 per ton. POSCO increased previously to be in effect from the ordering scheduled to put into the production line beginning May 27. Other CR re-rollers including Dongkuk Steel, and Dongbu Steel participated in the price increases over the June shipment.
