According to the reports, a Mexican steel company, Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA), planned to set up a production line for color steel sheet in Monclova city of the northern Mexican state of Coahuila, with investment around 400 million pesos.
However, the certain setup schedule had not been revealed since AHMSA signed the agreement of facility installation with Paco, a South Korean engineering company.
AHMSA claimed that this production line would output approximately 90,000 tons of steel sheet, and the products would be supplied to construction and home appliance industry.
Moreover, it was expected by AHMSA that this investment would enhance the supply ability of domestic high value-added steel products, which mostly relied on imports.
