POSCO topped for the 10th year world highest competitive steel mill picked up by World Steel Dynamics at the 34th Steel Success Strategies Conference held for three days, June 17~19 in New York.
World Steel Dynamics established in 1999 is rated as the authoritative global steel analysis institute has announced rankings of the world 34 top steel mills. The rankings are used as an indicator to measure the management performance and future prosperity of the global top ranking steel mills.
POSCO is expanding continuously the world high-class premium steel products sales even in difficult circumstances like global economic recession, slowing steel-consuming industries and escalating protectionism in trade. Last year, POSCO announced its management model of ‘Becoming Good Corporate Citizens With POSCO’ and has developed since the management principle to circulate social values and economic vales each other in order. POSCO as a result has been ahead of other global steel mills in gaining a high evaluation in aspects of investment and financial solvency from the World Steel Dynamics. It is said that POSCO acquired high scores in seven subjects consisted of high-value added product, processing expenses, technology innovation, manpower capacity, promotion of new growth industry, investment environment, and geological risks, being in the top position with 8.35 of the 10-point scale.
