Scrap price in Liaoning province softens with drops on Friday.
Then 6-10mm HMS2 in Chaoyang district fell by 20 yuan/t to 2760 yuan/t. In Benxi, 6-10mm HMS2 is stable at 2750 yuan/t. In Fushun, 6-10mm HMS2 is stable at 2710 yuan/t.
Meanwhile, with the recent drop in scrap price on the nearby market, some steel mills has lowered the purchase price for scarp. The arrival of scarp to steel mills and inventories of scarp, however, still be at a relatively low level recently. Therefore, a sharp decline of scrap price would be limited on the overall market.
