Danieli, a representative from an engineering company, had been commissioned by Russian PAO Severstal to upgrade its plate mill 2800 in Cherepovets, which was expected to be completed in Spring of 2021.
According to the announcement from Danieli, the hot dividing shear was a fully hydraulic device capable of cutting plates with thicknesses up to 50 mm at temperatures up to 1,000 degrees, while two disc-type cooling beds could meet surface quality requirements and would also provide automation system for the hot dividing shear.
