NMDC Limited, India's largest iron ore producer and exporter producing more than 35 million tons of iron ore from 3 fully mechanized mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, has remained its ex-works prices of iron ore unchanged in August.
Since June 2019, the price of Indian domestic iron ore has gradually stabilized. In July, the ex-works price of iron ore fines from NMDC was 3100 rupees per ton ($43.4/ton); of lump was 2860 rupees per ton ($40/ton).
Though the mining companies in Orissa have lowered the ex-works price of iron ore by 100 rupees per ton ($1.4/ton) in August, NMDC has still kept the price unchanged.
