On the afternoon of September 11, 2019, China Baowu and Jiangsu provincial government held a special meeting for the project of Yancheng steel base in Nanjing. It was learned from the meeting that Baowu Yancheng Steel was positioned as a green, wise, innovative steelworks. The first phase of the project is planned to be started in November 2020. Coke oven will be taken as the first project and is expected to start construction in the first half of 2020. At present, the overall planning and environmental assessment work of the project has started.
