China Steel Industry Summit for 2020 Market hosted by SteelHome, was
successfully held in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang
Province, during November 1-3, 2019. This summit was jointly held by
Maanshan Steel Company, Ouyeel Co., Ltd and Youfa Pipe Group. Co-hosts
were Shanghai Futures Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange, Xiamen C&D,
China Minmetals Corporation, GTXsteel E-commerce and Henan Gang Duo
Industrial. Over 1000 delegates from governments, associations, steel
mills, miners, traders, research institutes and media attended the
event.
Mr. Lin Guoqiang, vice-president of Nanjing Steel, delivered a keynote
speech titled Digitalization Changes the Future.
Here is summary of his speech:
With the goal of “business digitalization and digital business”, Nanjing
Steel establishes a sales management model centered on customer service,
opens up the upstream and downstream industry chain, realizes the whole
process digital steel mill, and promotes JIT+ C2M business model to
realize more customized service, more efficient operations and a smarter
ecosystem.
Nanjing Steel has experienced four stages of sales:
Stage I: In the traditional sales stage, the sales business is
paper-oriented with a proportion of digital business. Lacking unified
and standardized business process, sales management dispersed.
Stage II: In the information-based sales stage, online sales also formed. Based
on EPR sales system, sales process gradually improved and sales management
standardized.
Stage III: Sales enter into intelligent stage. Customization and E2E
mode have been established. With the customer-centralized integrated
sales mode, the whole sales process achieved visualization and
systematization.
Stage IV: In the industrial Internet sales stage, new technology
determined sales process, then it entered intelligent upstream and
downstream industry chain output stage.
Since 2017, the entire sales system has been optimized and upgraded
according to the company's plan. Internally, it established an
integrated sales management system and externally, an e-commerce
platform. In 2019, a business intelligence system based on the digital
new economy will be established. As a guide and analysis of the overall
sales business, Nanjing will gradually realize the smart sales with its
own characteristics.
Of the steel products homogenization, service is the weapon of future
sales. Nanjing Steel’s intelligent sales strives to improve its service
in order to enhance its comprehensive competitiveness. |
