Construction steel:
20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 3848 yuan/t, up 6 yuan/t from previous
trading day. Price was decreased by 20 yuan/t in Changchun and Harbin
markets while increased by 10-40 yuan/t in East China, Central South
China and North China markets and some markets in West China.
Medium plate:
20mm Q235 medium plate price averaged at 3754 yuan/t in 28 domestic
markets, down 5 yuan/t. Price was down 10-30 yuan/t in Hefei, Nanchang,
Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, Guiyang, Xi’an and Lanzhou markets, the rest
was stable.
HRC:
5.75mm Q235 HRC average price was up 2 yuan/t to 3665 yuan/t in 28
domestic markets. Price fell by 10 yuan/t in Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan
markets while rose by 10-20 yuan/t in Shanghai, Wuxi, Lecong, Tianjin
and Shenyang markets. The rest was stable.
CRC:
Average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was up 1 yuan/t to 4274 yuan/t in 28
domestic markets. Price inclined by 10-50 yuan/t in Shanghai, Lecong,
Tianjin and Chengdu markets against 10 yuan/t decline in Hefei,
Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan markets. The rest was stable.
II Raw Materials
On 12 November, Tangshan common billet price was up 20 yuan/t to 3340
yuan/t (cash, tax included, ex-works). Yesterday Tangshan billet spot
product was 3410-3420 yuan/t with plain transaction.
On 12 November, iron ore market fluctuated. SteelHome data showed that
China Domestic Iron
Ore Price Index (SHCNDOI) 65% was down 13 yuan/t
to 825 yuan/t and SteelHome Imported Iron Ore Price Index (SHCNIOI)
62% was 79.07 dollars/t, down 0.06 dollar/t
from previous day.
Spot ore transacting price saw increase amid stability. Currently, PB
fines transacting price was 620 yuan/t at Qingdao port and 630 yuan/t at
Tianjin port with increased transaction.
Vale states that it has updated its iron ore and pellets sales guidance
for 2019 to 307 – 312 Mt, given more visibility on sales expected for
4Q19, which should range between 83 – 88 Mt. For 1Q20, the production
and sales are expected to range between 70 – 75 Mt, due to seasonality,
the gradual and safe return of operations and in line with margin over
volume
strategy.
