I Steel Market Review and Trading Tips
Review
Most markets in East China have not completely recovered, and some
logistics enterprises and construction fields resumed production.
Market price inquiry increased and trading volume inclined.
Downstream demand gradually was improved. Specifically, construction
steel price fell by 70-130 yuan per ton; HRC/CRC price dropped by
20-200 yuan per ton, among which Shanghai HRC price fell at first
then rose with plain transaction. Medium plate price declined by
20-110 yuan per ton, except for increased price in Wuan market.
Section steel price dropped by 50-90 yuan per ton. Production status
of steel mills, market inventory and logistics should be
highlighted.
SteelHome predicts that steel price will continue to moderately
increase next week.
Forecast
At present, most steel mills in East China reduce or stop
production. Besides, downstream enterprises will gradually resume
production in this week. And transportation have not completely
recovered. Social inventory and inventory in steel mills will
continue to increase.
Trading Tips
Traders should stay calm and appropriately sell products to obtain
the fund back when the inventory is at a high level. Steel mills are
suggested to actively reduce the production.
