Prices
of scrap fluctuates with slight drops in East China on Wednesday. The
6-10mm HMS stays at 2550-2600 yuan/t in Jiangsu; at 2530-2580 yuan/t in
Shandong; down by 30 yuan/t to 2440-2490 yuan/t in Fujian.
In
order to keep the price stable, some steelmakers have reduced production,
keeping scrap consumption at a low level. With the pessimistic outlook,
traders are active in selling scrap products. Therefore, SteelHome
considers that prices of scarp may drop in the near term.
