According to data released from the General Administration of Customs, China imported 27.833 million tons of coal in March, 2020, up 18.53% or 4.351 million tons year on year; down 6.197 million tons or 18.21% compared with the average imported volume of the first two months.
From January to March, China imported 95.778 million tons of coal, up 28.4% year on year. The annualized imported volume amounted to 384.165 million tons, higher than that in last year.
In March, the imported values of coal registered USD 2,009.2 million, down 11.96% year on year. The average imported value was USD 72.19 per ton, down USD 1.31 per ton month on month and down USD 4.23 per ton year on year. From January to March, the imported value totaled USD 7,004.90 million, up 21.17% year on year.
