Hyundai Steel stopped operation of its Dangjin EAF engaging in the prodiction of strip and sheet effective June 1. According to Hyundai Steel, the company entered stoppage of operation on the temporary basis taking into account the production costs burden and order intakes. “The company countered reduced order intakes by tuning the operation, but worsening condition entering June forced to halt,” the company officer explained. It is known the situations connecting with the new order intakes became virtually worst with almost ‘zero’.
