Pittsburgh based integrated steelmaker United States Steel announced restart of blast furnace at Gary Works steel mill in Indiana. The blast furnace No 6, which was idled in end April this year, would be back to operation after a period of almost two months. Integrated steelmaker US Steel will restart the No 6 blast furnace at its Gary Works steel mill in Indiana after the 4 July holiday weekend, nearly two months after it was idled because of Covid-19-related demand shocks.
