According to China Customs, China imported 101.682 million tonnes of iron ore
in June, with a rise of 26.503 million tonnes or up 35.3 percent from
the one in the same month last year. Daily import increased by 20.7
percent month-on-month.
Average import price was 90.1 dollars per tonne, up by 2.7 dollars per
tonne from the one in the last month.
Cumulative imports in the six months totaled at 546.907 million tonnes,
with an increase of 48.062 million tonnes or up 9.6 percent
year-on-year. Average import price in the six months was 90.1 dollars
per tonne, with a rise of 0.4 dollar per tonne from the same period last
year.
