According to statistics, Vietnam imported a total of around 430,000 tons of scrap in June, up by 27% compared to the previous month and rising by 23% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the imports from Japan accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 240,000 tons, accounting for 56% of the total, which surged by 40% month on month. Other import sources included the US (50,000 tons) and Hong Kong (40,000 tons).
